Is it too late for the Squating Movement in Holland?

Void Network Announcement:
Following many years of non violent trends, passive resistance, lack of serious confrontation with the State and separation from a society that becomes day after day more conservative the Squat Movement of Holland faces serious attack from the neo conservative Dutch Government and maybe is infront of the most serious thread of total elimination after 30 years of fight...

It starts to become obvious in many countries of long history of Occupations that the first generations of Squatters are militant defenders of their decisions to squat and organize their lives differently and antagonisticaly to the State, the second generation gain a lifestyle of violence without really fight and without creating new squats as they live in already constructed squats or they use legalization process and benefits from the fights of previous generation...and the third genaration forgets how to squat, forgets how to organize serious fight and confrontation, separates from the society and just use the buildings...Until the day that Police comes on their door to finish the fairytales....
It's a great suffereing for us that the only special international news we recieved all last years from Holland about a serious confrontation of squaters with the State and Capital didn't include any participation in a social struggle, not any Attack against the regime, not any importnat insurrection or great battle but unfortunately the Defence for the Right to Squat...
Unfortunately for all of us in many other countries that we never had "a constitutional right" to squat and squatting was always "banned", this struggle that is taking place these days in Holland seems a little bit distant.
Of course we express our solidarity and we care deeply for the fight of the Dutch comrades but we try to remind them that there were some great social and cultural struggles that created the legalization of squatting and have to exist some new great fights and struggles to defend them now

Is just that we think that....
you have to fight for your "right" to Squat, no one will offer this to you.

....And when you forget to fight, when you forget to attack against the regime, when you forget to be dangerous then you forget the ways to gain respect and the State feels this like a night butterfly feels the fire in the night...
Maybe this will be the arising of a great new generation in Holland that will confront the limitations of the previous generations and will fight against totalitarian European regime and fascist European elite with all of us that our squats are anyway "banned" for many years now...
Otherwise this will be the end of Holland Squating movement.... (or, we are wrong and the Dutch movement will make it and they will cuncel the efforts of Dutch neo conservative government to destroy their movement NOW?! We hope we will succeed to overthrough the Dutch government until 1st january 2010! That's the best way to defend the Dutch squats anyway!)

This is a message from the Dutch movement:

For the last three years a ban on squatting has been in preparation in Dutch politics. A new act that is to ban squatting in the Netherlands has passed through parliament on October 15th. Squatting empty houses that have been empty for over a year is currently still legal in the Netherlands. The new act, an initiative by the Christian Democrats, the Christian Union and the conservative opposition party VVD, is to make squatting a felony punishable by at least one year and up to three years of prison when refusing to evict. Despite strong critique from the High Court, the union of city councils and even the Amsterdam police force, the christian/rightwing majority in The Hague is pushing this law through. Having suffered from an immense housing shortage ever since the sixties, squatting has a long history in the Netherlands and has always been a legal means for thousands of people to acquire a roof over their heads. Not only will all these people be criminalized, no initiative to bring about other solutions for losing their homes has been brought up. This and the complete disregard for the culture that has been created by squatters and their vital role in activist infrastructure has been overlooked.

Currently the senate still has to vote on the new act, but given the same majority of parties that voted in favor in parliament also exists in the senate, odds are by January 1st 2010 all squats in the Netherlands will be up for eviction. Happy new year.

A three year campaign against the criminalization of squats, strongly focusing on improving the public image of the squatting movement has culminated on October 15th in the occupation of parliament square where a tent camp was set up on the day of voting. The moment the bill was voted upon the parliament had to disband as the meeting was disrupted by protest from the spectators bench, which was soon silenced by security and police. Hundreds of squatters on the square made an attempt to enter the parliament building to voice their dissent, but were driven away by riot cops. Later in the evening riot cops violently evicted the entire square, making over a hundred arrests.

Copenhagen in 60 seconds: key facts and figures. Against Who we Will fight in Copenhagen and Why?

For all people thinking to participate in the demonstrations against United Nations Conference for Climate Change in Copenhagen during first weeks of December 2009, Void Mirror here publishes some vital information about... Against Who We Will Fight in Copenhagen and Why ?

Copenhagen in 60 seconds: key facts and figures

Ecologist magazine
8th October, 2009

Do you know your COP15 from your CDM? Your UNFCCC from your REDD? If not, you need our 60 second guide to Copenhagen

What are the dates?

7th-18th December 2009.

Where exactly is it?

The Bella Exhibition and Conference Centre, Ørestad, Copenhagen, Denmark.

How many people will attend the conference?

Traditionally, the COP/CMP attracts several thousand participants. At least 10,000 are expected this year. Included in this number are government representatives, observer organizations, government officials, representatives of UN bodies and agencies, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, and accredited members of the media.

From how many countries?

Officials and ministers from 192 countries are expected to attend.

How big is the press contingent likely to be?

Previous COPs have attracted nearly 1,500 accredited members of the media. There will be a significant number of press conferences held during COP15. The program for these press conferences will be put together by the UNFCCC, and will be available during the conference.

What’s on the agenda?

The climate agreement for the period from 2012; specifically obtaining an agreement that combines respect for the environment (a reduction in man-made greenhouse gases that have a negative effect on our climate system), living standards and long-term security of energy supply in the best way possible. Concrete proposals will be set out for action by the EU and the rest of the international community.

What predictions have been made for the outcome?

Björn Stigson, President of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, has neatly summarised six very different possible outcomes:

1. A 'real deal': the US and China provide the driver for a new, ambitious and comprehensive agreement.
2. Business as usual: the various countries follow current national targets.
3. A limited deal: headed by for example the Group of Eight (G8) a deal outside the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) is found.
4. A mere prolonging of the present agreement, the Kyoto Protocol.
5. A stretching of the Copenhagen conference (COP15) into 2010.
6. 'Window dressing': a grand declaration but no real deal.

What are the key discussion points?
  • The 'baseline year' against which specified reduction targets will be measured, the duration of the second commitment period, ie. 2012 til when?
  • The proposed greenhouse gas reduction targets themselves for both the second commitment period and beyond.
  • Whether the agreement will be expanded to include greenhouse gases that are currently excluded from the Kyoto Protocol, for example the international maritime industry and the international aviation industry.
  • Whether the rules governing the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) will be tightened to ensure environmental integrity and avoidance of greenhouse gas emissions, or whether they will be relaxed to encourage more investment.
  • Whether the CDM will include as-yet-unproven Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology to receive funding as a way of allowing coal-fired power stations to continue operating and new ones to be built.
  • An agreement to include measures to curb the rate of deforestation, especially of tropical rainforests in developing countries – otherwise known as Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD).
  • Discussing a framework to help countries adapt to inevitable climate change. All developed and developing countries should be required to develop comprehensive national adaptation strategies. Financial and technological support should be provided to the most vulnerable developing countries.
  • Boost to research, development and demonstration (RD&D) of low-carbon and adaptation technologies.

What are the likely stumbling blocks?

The United States in particular has refused to make binding commitments unless major developing economies, such as China, are included in an agreement. Developing countries – most actively represented by the G-77 block – have indicated a willingness to cut emissions, but only if developed countries take a leadership role.

Developing countries are reluctant to accept hard carbon emissions targets as they struggle to grow their economies. Richer countries don't want to accept hard targets, or be responsible for funding mitigation, if developing economies won't also accept limits.

Everyone is waiting for the other to act on how deeply to cut their emissions of gases that contribute to climate change. No one wants to standalone.

What key objections/proposals do nations have?

The United States in particular has refused to make binding commitments unless major developing economies, such as China, are included in an agreement.

South Africa won't consider the next round of climate change talks successful unless rich nations set aside money to help them address global warming. It is calling for financial and technological support.

Mexico has tabled a proposal for aid to be made available to poor countries in their struggle to cope with climate change.

UK proposes each of the G-20 nations find their own way of funding their efforts to control climate change. The position is opposed by India, China, South Africa and Brazil. UK also suggests that all national plans, such as the Five-Year Plans for India, shoudl would be open to international examination. Again, India opposes the idea.

Norway proposes to use funding from industrialised countries’ emissions budgets to generate revenue for international cooperation.

Members of the Alliance for Small Island Developing States (AOSIS) propose increased risk management and risk reduction strategies, including risk sharing and transfer mechanisms such as insurance.

What greenhouse gas reduction target could we consider a success?

NGOs in many industrialised countries are calling for at least 40 per cent emission cuts by 2020, in line with the scientific evidence of the reductions needed to keep below a 2C rise in average global temperature.

Human 2.0 - A Manifesto of a new kind of Human Being Alive Here & Now!

This is what I have to offer you. . .
All governments are lying
theives.
Laws create Chaos.
Food makes you Hungry.
School
makes you Stupid and Incapable.
Money makes you Poor.
Cars
are the ultimate symbol of Poverty.
Working makes you Dead.

Property is Theft, Theft is Property.
"Property" is Impossible,
you
can't even Own your Body,
but you can Take Care of it while you

are Here.
We are making it all up.
Providing basic needs for all
with
Dignity will end war and start
the new golden Age.
Give
everything away for Free.
Don't waste your Time or the Worlds

doing anything you don't Enjoy.
We need more leaders,
less
followers.
Do It Yourself.
Zero dollar a day budget.
Less is more.

Steal your life back
by not participating in the madness.
....now it's
your turn.
What are you doing here?

HUMAN 2.0?.
Where do we go from here?
The future will only
contain
what we put into it.

HUMAN 2.0
Current mood: awake

A world based on suffer-age
(money)
is counterproductive and an

outdated concept.
To create a free world
in ourselves and out, we
have
to value life and support all people.
Especially ourselves

(this is the whole point).
True Wealth is Quality of Life for All.

Quality of life for all
is the soil that grows "future".
To say some
people,
by what they "do",
are more important than others is

immature and hinders true progress.
All people and life are

value-able whether we have
the ability to understand it or not.

Diversity is the survival of the species.
Graduate to a new city, a
diversity.
And if the answer is not
"respecting diversity",

embracing so-called chaos,
what else do we got?
A truly
chaotic
prison planet
mono culture system
that's going on now?

The current world
is based on entrapment
and a racket system.

ex:
"Work" and make
this other person rich
and then you are

"acceptable"
and not a "terrorist"
(indentured servitude).
Do what
this insecure person says
and don't talk back creatively unless

your selling an ad for us
and then you might deserve
to live this
"dream"
that we've made up.
If not,
you are dead and homeless

and no girl
or guy will want to hump you.

Our current belief system
is based on a fierce denial
of how
things actually are.
We spend most of our time
repressing how
we feel.
How we feel is Human 2.0
knocking at our
deadbolt-locked,
primate doors.
If you have any clue of the inner

workings of "cult-ure"
then you will surely know that
most of the
things we've been told
or are being told,
are bold yet pathetic lies.

The quickest way to Human 2.0
is to sit with yourself without

distraction and
quietly listen to how you feel.

...We are all two paychecks away
from being homeless.
If we are
in debt,
we are homeless.
If we are in debt,
we are in poverty...

Yeah,
we all know
the old "Dream" fabrication
is a carnal sin
against life on earth,
but we don't know the way out.
I've now
explained
that what we think of as "work"
is just silly if not
completely insane,
and that you'd have to be real conditioned,

indoctrinated, and suicidal
to live your life
in such a schizophrenic
way.
(And to happily sell your kids off
into prostitution too is just

sick.)
Ok so most of us
are suicidal and schizophrenic terrorist

dorks,
so what it's normal right? uhh, sure.

The point is,
it's just not worth it anymore
to follow the so-called

dream
and be
a wage-slave zombie.
Ignorance
is no fun
anymore.
Drugs are too expensive now
and only work for a
limited time
before you die,
mortgages on a house are surreally

bullshit, rent is ha-ha,
dating is pathetic, the mall uniforms
are too
expensive,
medical mafia costs are jacked
and the care is
caveman
(take this pill and we'll steal the rest
of your money
when you die)...

Not only that,
but the world mother herself will not

support this destructive lifestyle choice
that has been hammered

into us by well intentioned dorks.
There is just no more love in the

old ways and it doesn't satisfy
the human spirit as well as it did

10,000 years ago.

And remember,
it wasn't very long ago that we

thought the earth was flat.

It's for your ultimate benefit and mine
to do what just feels natural

and give everything away to everyone,
all the time.
Who wants to

"sell" their things anyway?

Do you invite people over for dinner

and than charge them for it?
of course you don't,
but you might

use the barter system!
Spending money these days goes to

corrupt governments
(every government is corrupt),
which goes

to irresponsible monster corporations,
state terrorism, etc.

The
less we spend
the more we are!

This has nothing to do with being

stingy, spending money is stingy.
Working is for lazy people and

makes you poor.
Working is
counterproductive,
foolish, and

absolutely unnecessary.
It is the main cause of all suffering and

death on the planet.

Work riddled creatures
design Death riddled

products like :
Cars :
THE symbol of poverty.
Suburbs :
huge
plastic graveyards.
Social Indoctrination Centers
(schools):

makes you stupid and incapable.
Urbanization :
a disease, a
parasite.
Spineless, Lifeless,
Sucking Satans Scaly Pecker.

Work is the process of dying.

Have you ever had someone
being nice to you when you

probably didn't deserve it?
You probably thought hey, that's cool,

what a nice guy, I'm going to pass that on.
I know you've had
plenty of people
rotten to you
when you didn't deserve it so we

won't get into that.

If you give everything away,
you will be given

everything as well.

You will just have to trust
in perfect time.

The
alternative is what?
...Worry all the time?

Like that gets anyone
anywhere.
But I know it's tough to change
our old rusty operating
system.
I'm sure old mentality
was possibly useful hunting

mastodons,
but things are a little different now.
There is more
than enough
on this planet
for everyone to live well lush lives.
If
you not contributing to Human 2.0,
you are wasting everyones
time
other than being very acidic compost.

You can't stop us.
It is
happening now whether
your programming likes it or not.

We can live a smarter,
more advanced way.
I'd like your support,
not your money,
more just your energy to direct.
I would like you
to direct
that energy into yourself
and not so much into so-called

jobs, so-called schools,
so-called entertainment.

Why polish the
brass on the titanic?
It's all going down.
But not completely...
There
are some valuable items on board.
Them being compassion, love,

creativity, community, music,
art, peace of mind, etc..

I am living
what the future
of the world will be
and if you desire to survive

and be happy,
you will start doing it as well.

I have respect for
myself.
I see where the "money" is going and
understand true
wealth is
QUALITY OF LIFE.
I promote a new system
that
actually works
that is nothing new to the world.
To be creative,
alive, and productive
is a natural human trait if left to develop.

Play is the way.
Laziness is the excrement
of doing something

you don't enjoy.
In the new world
everything will be productive,
but
not forcefully.
So this is another wake up call
for you to jump ship

now before life gets even harder.
It is kind of a threat
but you'll
thank me later I promise.
The corporations don't care about you.

Prostitution doesn't pay.
Supporting state criminals,... no good.

Give
everything away for free.
Life begins
at the end of your comfort
zone.

With your support,
we can take this world back from the

scared, insecure people
of yester-millinia
and give them lots of

hugs..
Jump Out of the
"take pills and die" world
that we live in

now.

To play all day is the natural way.
There is no such thing as
"grown-up".

Setting up a system where everyone
is provided for is just the
beginning.
I can't really imagine
what will grow out of this new

iridescent compost.
A foundation of awareness,
understanding,

and love is inevitable.
Staring now and now.
Buying is dying.
Less
is more.

To quality of life,
liberty and justice for all
and not just for people with

the mark of the beast.
